Guided hikes and outdoor recreation opportunities offer exploration and adventure
Park naturalists and recreation specialists lead a variety of outdoor programs across the Park District to offer guests a way to stay active and explore the Emerald Necklace.
Park naturalists offer a variety of hikes for all ages including birding, history, night hikes as well as family-friendly hikes. Outdoor recreation specialists will also offer programs where guests can learn a new outdoor recreation skill. Virtual learning opportunities will continue to be offered on a limited basis.
Most naturalist led programs and hikes are free, but some may require advanced registration. Most Outdoor Recreation programs will require registration and a small equipment fee.
